Jon has played football since the sixth grade at Our Lady of Sorrows in Farmington. He attended Detroit Catholic Central HS known for its tremendous football program, hoping to earn a state championship. Although in his first varsity season the team suffered through some challenges, Jon helped his team make the state playoffs in 2005. Although he did not win the state championship he hoped for, Jon will attend the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor becoming part of their great football program in hopes of future championships. Jon won the 2005 Catholic Central Defensive Back MVP Award after leading the team in interceptions. Jon also had three TD’s as a Wide Receiver. During his tenure at CC, Jon excelled academically as well. He was a member of the National Honor Society and earned a 3.72 GPA while participating in three varsity sports. A two-year letter winner in football, skiing (captain), and baseball, Jon has always excelled in athletics.

Jon thanked his family, “for their unconditional love and support, especially my mother and father for the extras, including meals after games, and unity dinners before games. I thank my grandparents, aunts and uncles for cheering at so many sporting events. I also thank the CC football staff: Tom Mach, Rick Coratti, Mark Gagnon, Dan Anderson, Roy Dudas, George Kunec, Joe English, Aaron Babicz, Justin Cessante, and Bryant Lawrence for their commitment and dedication. I thank the entire CC family: students, faculty, administration, alumni, and the Basilian Fathers. It was an honor to wear the blue and white.”
