Head Coach John Shillito

Coach Shillito is a 1980 graduate of Central Michigan University where he won three varsity letters in football. His coaching career includes head coaching stops at Comstock Park (1982-1984), Orchard View (1986-1999) and East Kentwood (2000-2003). His career coaching record is 156 wins and 61 losses including eleven playoff appearances, five Regional Championships and three State Runners-Up finishes. Coach Shillito has been honored as Regional Coach of the Year nine times and State Coach of the Year twice.
John’s family includes his wife of 24 years, Wendy; two sons, Matthew (20), a sophomore at the University of Michigan, and Kyle, (16) a junior at East Kentwood and one daughter, Casey (14), a freshman at East Kentwood.
Coach Shillito said, “It is a great honor to coach in this game that brings our best kids and coaches together for one week every summer. It has become a great tradition that I am excited to be a part of.”
