Assistant Coach Joe Reddinger
North Dickinson High School

Coach Reddinger is a graduate of Kingsford High School where he lettered in football, basketball, and track. Following high school he attended Northern Michigan University from which he graduated in 1974. For the past 27 years he has been a teacher and head football coach at North Dickinson High School. Joe also serves as athletic director and track coach at North Dickinson.

    While compiling a career record of 175-94, Joe’s teams have won 12 conference championships. The Nordics won 11 consecutive Wolverine Conference championships from 1992-2002. They have been a MHSAA playoff qualifier for 12 straight seasons. The Nordics have been to the state semi-finals four times and had a runner-up finish in 1998.

    Joe has received ten MHSFCA Regional Coach of the Year awards and was Coach of the Year in 2001. He received the AP Coach of the Year Award in 2002. He has also been named Coach of the Year by the Wolverine Conference nine times and UP Class D Coach of the Year three times.

    Coach Reddinger has been married to his wife, Lynn, for 25 years. They are the proud parents of two children, Tara (23) and Scott (18).
