Jerry is the son of Alvin and Patricia Tucker. He is an only child.

Jerry’s football career began when he was in second grade with St. Veronica in the CYO league. He played quarterback from second grade though junior high. When he started high school he became a corner back. As a junior he only started in four games but in his senior season, he started every gave at corner and split time offensively as a wide receiver. Jerry accumulated six interceptions and two blocked punts defensively and offensively had 21 receptions for 435 yards and three TD’s. He was selected MVP and named to the First Team All Macomb Area Conference Red Division, and was named to the All East First Team, All County and All State Teams.

Jerry was also a two year starter on the varsity basketball team at Chippewa Valley and was selected to the Second Team All Conference Team for basketball.

Jerry thanked his parents, “for their love and support thoughout his athletic career.” He also thanked his “immediate and non-immediate familywho always made it to my games and fully supported me.” He thanked Coach Scott Merchant, Coach Terry Wilson and the rest of the coaching staff and my teammates for putting me in the position to be successful. I owe so much to these people!” He added, “I thank God for blessing me with the ability, health and strength to play this game.”
