The Jim Crowley Award is dedicated to the memory of the late Jim Crowley, former coach at Jackson Lumen Christi High School, a great coach, and a dedicated family man. The award honors individuals who have made special contributions to the game of football and to the MHSFCA. It is the most prestigious award presented by our association.
An original member of the MHSFCA Board, Jeff Smith served as president of the MHSFCA in 1978. Smith was inducted into the MHSFCA Hall of Fame in 1982. At that time he had 29 years coaching in Hale, Grass Lake, St. John’s and East Lansing. Record: 196 wins, 68 losses, 4 ties. At the time of induction: Head Coach East Lansing High School.
