During his sophomore year, Jake helped to lead his team to their first ever regional final. Jake racked up almost 1500 yards and 22 TD’s that season. His junior year he was one of the first ever juniors to be named captain of the varsity team. In his senior season, Jake passed for 2016 yards and 14 touchdowns and rushed for 1260 yards and another 28 touchdowns. Jake led his team to their first ever state semi-finals appearance while picking up All State Special Mention recognition. In his final year at CPHS Jake was named captain again and picked up another 3000 yards and 37 touchdowns as the team cruised to a second straight semi-finals appearance.
