Eric is the son of Brian and Lesley Hildebrand. He has two older siblings: Luc and Marc Hildebrand. Luc is a graduate of The University of Michigan and Marc is currently in his last year at The University of Michigan. Both of Eric’s brothers were football players for Goodrich and were a big part of his love of the game.

Eric starting playing tackle football in the fourth grade for the Goodrich Youth Program.  He was moved to varsity as a sophomore playing wide receiver and safety for the Martians.  In his junior season, Eric tied his brother Marc for the school record for most interceptions in a season (7).  During his senior year he played wide receiver, quarterback, cornerback , punter and kick/punt returner helping the Martians to a Genesee Area Red Conference Championship. Eric currently holds the Goodrich school records for longest receiving touchdown and longest punt.

 In addition to football Eric played varsity hockey and ran track for Goodrich. 

Eric thanked his parents and grandparents for “supporting me through all of the years and making all of my games” and his brothers for “motivating me” and his friends and coaches, “as they made being a part of a team special and fun”.  Eric gave a special mention and thank you to “Coach Fritz Wolff who passed at the beginning of this season and whose spirit will always be a part of my playing football.”
