Eric Cooper, Jr. is the son of Eric Cooper, Sr. and Chiquita Cooper. He has one sister, Ericanique (17). Eric was raised in Mount Morris, Michigan most of his life.

Eric was a three sport athlete. He played football, basketball and also ran track. Eric has been playing football since third grade. He played quarterback until he got to high school and became a receiver. Eric led his team in yards and receptions his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He finished his high school career with 2,115 yards, 105 receptions, 27 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. His awards for his senior year include: First Team All State Defensive Back, All Area Dream Team, Detroit Free Press Dream Team, and First Team All Conference Receiver.

 In high school Eric was a four year varsity basketball player, his team won the state championship in 2012 and 2013. Eric also ran on the track team for three years. He was an All State long jumper and his 4×200 relay team also placed in the state track meet. Eric has been Beecher High School’s student representative for many interscholastic events.

Eric said, “I am very thankful for the opportunity to be playing in this all star game.  This will be another great learning opportunity for me.  I would like to give special thanks to my mother and father for letting me compete in such a great sport and for being so supportive. I also thank my coach, Courtney Hawkins, for being a great mentor over the years, and to all the coaches that had a hand in my success. Last but not least, I want to thank the man above for all of my blessings and special talents.”
