Dre’On’s parents are Sakeeah and Jonathan Galban. He has three younger Galban siblings, Sakario (4), Emanuel (1) and Eliana (1).
Dre’on started football when he was in second grade, as a running back. He has played that position every season since. As a junior varsity team member, he rushed for 1400 yards and scored 14 touchdowns. He bumped those stats to 1500 yards and 24 touchdowns as a junior and as a seniorran for 1200 yards and crossed the goal line 18 times. His Lakeview High School team made the state playoffs in both his junior and senior seasons. Dre’On was recognized as All City, All State and All Conference in both his junior and senior years. He was also a WWBR Player of the Week.
Dre’On also ran track at BC Lakeview.
Dre’On gave cfredit to his step-father, Jonathan Galban for his success. He said, “Without him I would not have gotten this far.” Dre’On will attend Grand Valley State University as a student athlete this fall.
