At Harrison High School D.J. played both receiver and defensive back but found his greatest success as a cornerback during his senior year. He was All League, All Metro North, and selected by his coaches as the Most Valuable Player for the 2009 season.
D.J. thanked his parents and coaches for their support throughout his career. He plans to continue playing possibly at the junior college level.
