DeAndre has been playing football since he was eight years old. He has had 1,000 Yard rushing seasons at age eight, nine and fifteen. His senior year, at age sixteen, he rushed for 989 yards. His team has won 3 of 4 championships during his football career. In his junior year his team won the city championship, and DeAndre was awarded best running back, best line backer, and All City second team. His senior year he was picked All City first team, and won  many other awards from his Northwestern High Scholl team. DeAndre was also recognized by ESPN, was the Detroit Free Press Top Athlete, and was named to the Detroit News  All City Team. In addition to playing running back, DeAndre played middle line backer, and was one of the leading tacklers on the team each season.

DeAndre also played baseball and ran track. He is a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

DeAndre said, “First and for most I thank God for giving me the ability to be the athlete I am today. I also thank my coaches family, and friends who have supported me.” He ended by, “thanking the most important people in my life, my Mother and Father. They have kept me motivated throughout my career.”
