David is the son of Ray and Dawn Curle. He has an older sister, Danielle (20) who graduated from Michigan State University in 2013. David also has a younger brother, Trevor (15) class of 2015 who is a three sport athlete at Eisenhower High School.

David began his football career as a second grader for the Shelby Lions. He played two years for Shelby Junior High prior to beginning his high school career at Eisenhower. As a sophomore, David started all 12 games at offensive left tackle. In his junior year, he became a two-way player starting at tackle for an Eagle Team that made it to the Division 1 State Semi-Finals. As a senior, David was named a captain and started both ways at offensive tackle and defensive end. 

While at Eisenhower, David was a three-sport athlete lettering in basketball and track in addition to football. David is a proud member of the National Honor Society as an Honors Student at Eisenhower while maintaining a 3.55 GPA.

David said, “I thank my family and friends who have made this whole journey possible. I especially thank my mom and dad for everything they have done for me. I also thank Coach Smith and Coach Lantzy for all that they have done to help me during my football career. I can’t thank the whole Eisenhower coaching staff enough for the fantastic job they do to push our team to be the best we can be. I am excited to get to work at Western Michigan University and continue playing football.”
