Darrin has played football since he was eight years old. He played at Oak Park High and later transferred to Pontiac Northern. Darrin played both offense and defense his senior year at Northern. Darrin earned a total of seven varsity letters in football, wrestling and track. He received best defensive lineman for his team in the 2007 season.
Darrin thanked his parents for “encouraging him to be the best he can be.” He thanked his grandmother Hazel Brown for “believing in me and my little sister Eiyesha for her good intentions.” He thanked all of my relatives and friends for their support and “last but-not-least” he said, “I thank God for keeping me safe and healthy throughout the footballseason.”
