DaMarco’s mother is Talisha Bradford.

DaMarco started playing in PAL football programs at age seven.  In 2010, DeMarco joined the Detroit Cody Comets High School football program.  He played both quarterback and defensive back.  In 2012, as quarterback, he had 1510 total passing yards with 18 touchdown passes and 1213 rushing yards with 14 rushing touchdowns. At defensive back he had 40 tackles, 10 interceptions with 2 touchdowns and two punt returns for touchdowns. He was recognized by being named to the Detroit News and Detroit Free Press All City Team in 2011 and 2012.  His head football coach, Calvin Norman, described Gulley as, “one of the best players I have ever coached in my 24 years of coaching.”
