Cory’s parents are Derek and Connie Williams. He has one younger sister, Mikala (15) who played varsity volleyball as a sophomore.

Cory started playing football when he was seven in the local Rocket Football League. He played running back and linebacker. In his first full varsity season he played safety for a team that went 13-1 and made it all the way to Ford Field and a Division 3 State Runners-Up title. He was second on the team in tackles that year with 111. In his senior season he was moved back to linebacker but also played quarterback, running back, wide receiver and safety at various times throughout the year. He led the team in tackles with 122 and had over 1500 total yards of offense during the season. As a senior he was named team MVP and team captain. 

Cory also played baseball and was a second team all conference outfielder for the Saginaw Valley. 

Cory will play football next year at Michigan Tech University. He thanked his parents for, “always being there for me to offer support and help guide me along my journey and dream of college football.” He also thanked, “Coach Mac for all the one-on-one time that he gave me to mold me into the hard worker I am today.” Cory added, “Last, but not least, I thank all of my teammates and friends for always offering their support. “
