2010 All Star/West
Cody began playing football for the Byron Youth Football program at age 7. He was a three-year varsity starter at Linden High School. Cody was a unanimous First Team All Flint Metro League selection all three years at quarterback and also a First Team Flint Metro selection at defensive back his senior year. He was named Honorable Mention AP Division 3/4 All State quarterback his sophomore year and a First Team AP Division 3/4 All State quarterback his junior and senior years.
Cody played basketball at Linden where he was a four year varsity starter. He received Detroit Free Press Honorable Mention All State his sophomore and junior years and was a First Team All Flint Metro selection his junior year. He also played baseball and received Honorable Mention All Flint Metro his junior season.
Cody thanked his parents for their support, and also thanked his coaches and teammates for the many great years. He has, “a tremendous appreciation for those who have coached me and played with me. They have helped prepare me to continue my career at Ferris State University.
