Splitting his time between the pipes as goalkeeper and captain of the soccer team, and handling place-kicking and kickoff duties for the football team, Chris kept busy during the fall as a dual- sport athlete.
Chris was also the point guard and captain of the basketball team. He volunteered with the Special Olympics, assisted in numerous youth sports programs, and served as chaplain in the Boy Scouts, where he built his first goal posts.
Chris said, “I appreciate the Manistee community for their support and dedication to the Manistee Football program. I couldn’t have accomplished as much as I did without the help of my teammates and coaches who helped me strive for perfection.” He especially thanked his family, “They made it all possible with their support for me throughout the years.”
Chris will play football for Valparaiso University, where he plans to major in sports management.
