“I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to become the athlete that I am. I would also like to thank my family, as they attended all of my games in every sport, and encouraged me through my entire high school athletic career. I would especially like to thank my dad for filming all of the games, no matter how bad the weather was. Lastly, I would like to thank Coach Schindler, Coach Westrick, and all of the Elk Rapids coaching staff. Without them, I may not have even played football in the first place. This coaching staff turned around a program that had been poor for many years, and for that I am very grateful. They changed our school, as well as our community for the better.”
