Carlton started in both his junior and senior years at Denby Tech and Prep. He played offense, defensive, and on special teams. For his play he earned All City and All State recognition. He helped lead his team to the Public School League Championship and a district title.
Carlton thanked the Denby Football staff for, “giving me the opportunity when others wouldn’t believe in my talent, and not only being coaches but being father figures to me as well.” He gave a special thanks to his family for, “coming to every last game of my life and supporting my dream.” He also thanked, “all the fans that stuck with the 2007 Denby Tar football team. Thanks for all the memories and love.”
