Cam is the son of Bob and Gail Thomas. He has an older brother, Danny (26) and a sister-in-law, Veronica.

Cam started playing football at age seven. Every year he has played quarterback. During four years of playing high school football Cam threw for 8,441 yards and 72 touchdowns. His senior year he was named one of the team’s captains, was awarded the team’s Most Valuable Player and led his team to the school’s first ever playoff appearance.

During Cam’s high school years he earned three varsity letters playing hockey and one varsity letter playing golf. He also played one year on the junior varsity basketball team as a freshman.

Growing up Cam played a number of years of AAA hockey and won a number of golf tournaments. He also played nine years of travel baseball and three years of travel basketball.

Cam thanked his family “for all the support they have provided me throughout the many years. I can’t explain how much my parents mean to me, they have always been there for me, to push me to be the best I can be.” He said, “My brother is probably the biggest reason for my success because he pushed me in every thing that we did and the competition between each other made me a much better player and person. There is no one in the world like my mom, dad, and brother and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.”

Cam also thanked the South Lyon East coaching staff. “Their dedication and hard work are second to none. Their belief in our team and in me is what inspired us to greatness and for that I will be forever grateful.”
