Cam grew up playing soccer behind his brothers. As times changed, he developed a more aggressive edge for football and played for the Grosse Pointe Red Barons. The passion of Coach Brett Kurily inspired Cam to continue football at Grosse Pointe North where Cam is the only junior to have rushed for more than 1000 yards. He was a two year starter and team captain his senior year. Cam’s senior campaign was outstanding as he finished the season with 1,815 yards rushing, 22 rushing touchdowns and 2 additional touchdowns receiving, making him the second leading rusher and scorer in G.P. North history. He was named Offense MVP and Team MVP as he earned the respect of his coaches and teammates for his strong work ethic and leadership. He led his team to the MAC White Championship and the District Finals. For his speed, work ethic and ability to make defense miss him he was named MVP of the MAC White Division as well as  earning many other accolades.

Cam said, “I thank God first for the talent and dedication to do my best and my family, friends and the community for all their support, assistance and recognition. I thank my coaches Frank Sumbera, Roger Hunwick, Tim Brandon, Frank Ferretti, Nick Thomson, Tim Fleming, Andy Cox and Mike Francis for their dedication, humor and inspiration. Most importantly, I would like to thank my dad, my greatest coach of all.” Cam also thanked Western Michigan University for allowing him the opportunity to continue his academic and football career.
