Byron is the son of Shane and Lee Ann Bullough. He has two older brothers, Max (MSU graduate and NFL Prospect), Riley a linebacker at MSU and a younger sister Holly.
Byron started playing football in the fifth grade. As a freshman he was brought up to varsity during the playoffs and saw significant action. He started both ways starting in his sophomore year and played running back, safety, quarterback, inside and outside linebacker and kicker during his career. Byron also served as team captain during his senior year.
Byron also played varsity basketball for four years and is St Francis’ third leading all-time scorer with 1,275 career points. He also served as team captain in basketball in his senior year.
Byron thanked all his “high school coaches for their leadership and guidance in both football and basketball.” He said, “I especially thank Coach Vaughan and Coach Haske for their support throughout the years.”
