Bryan is the son of Casey and Kathy Jones. He has two older brothers, Kyle and Derek (late), and three older sisters, Ashley (Brett), Emily (Aaron), and Morgan
Bryan began playing football in the Schoolcraft Rocket Football program when he was eight years old – playing both ways as a linebacker and running back. As a freshman, Bryan started both ways at the linebacker and fullback positions on the JV team. Subsequently, he was moved up to varsity as a sophomore where he started as a free safety and wide receiver, garnering 98 tackles – 2nd on the team. His junior year Bryan remained at free safety and was moved to slot back on offense. He recorded a team high 92 tackles defensively and was named 1st Team All Conference and 1st Team All Area. Bryan had an amazing senior year recording 113 tackles (team high) with 68 solo stops and was awarded 1st Team All Conference, 1st Team All Area, 1st Team All State, and the Kalamazoo Gazette’s Player of the Year for Divisions 5-8. Bryan has signed a Letter of Intent to play football at Saginaw Valley State University in the fall of 2012 as a linebacker.
Bryan has also lettered in golf, baseball, track, and basketball, where he was the starting center on the 2011 Class C State Championship team. He maintains a 3.94 GPA and has been active in National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Bryan expressed his gratitude by first thanking, “my mom, dad, and family for being there for me always – their support is unconditional. Secondly, I would like to thank all my coaches, especially Terry Haas and Brad King for helping me to develop skills on the field and to become a better overall person. Lastly, I would like to thank the Schoolcraft community for always cheering me on throughout the years. I’m excited to be headed to SVSU to continue playing the game I love.”
