Brandan started playing football at eight and got his first taste of an undefeated season during his youth football career.  He played varsity football as a sophomore and caught 19 passes for 383 and two TD’s and was named honorable mention all league in his first varsity season. As a junior Brandan earned All Metro League Receiver and Flint Journal Player of the Year after catching 30 passes for 721 yards and eight TD’s and rushing for 248 yards and three TD’s on 22 carries. In his senior season, Brandan was 1st Team All Metro League on both offense and defense, was runner-up for Player of the Year in the Flint Journal, was named Most Entertaining Athlete by the Tri-County Times and Division 3 All State by the Detroit Free Press, Detroit News and Flint Journal. He caught 60 passes for 1073 yards and 13 TD’s, carried the ball 14 times for 110 yards and 3 TD’s and had 50 tackles and 7 interceptions as a defensive back. Brandan was named Most Valuable Back at Linden. He helped lead his team to two Metro League Championships in 2006 and 2008.

Brandan also ran track and played basketball for the Eagles.

Brandan will play football at GVSU. He thanked his family and friends, ” for all their support through the years.” He also thanked Greg Frietas for “pushing me as a youth,” Coaches Hopkins, Spencer, Krauss, Douglass and Coach P, for, “giving me opportunities to excel in football and as a person.” Branan included a “special thanks” to Gary Mooney, “The best announcer in the area.” He closed by thanking, “God for giving me the gift and ability to play football.”
