Austin is the son of Mike and Nancy Labus. He has two brothers, Alex (28) and Nick (21).
Austin began playing football as a seven year old. He was a varsity starter for Portage Northern starting his sophomore year. He was team captain his senior season.
Austin also lettered in lacrosse and wrestling and was all-conference in both sports.
He has spent much of his off-season time developing football skills, techniques and strength training at the Power Strength Training System facility in Grand Rapids with his trainer Mark Ehnis. PSTS is owned by Jarred ValDeer, All Pro tackle for The Raiders.
Austin enjoys hanging with his friends, music, video games and Jersey Giant Subs.
He thanked his family for all the encouragement, support and love. He also thanked his coach, Pete Schermerhorn for being an amazing mentor.
