Anthony began his football career at age eight playing little league, PAL football. He played wide receiver, cornerback, running back and returned kickoffs. Anthony finished his football career with 18 touchdowns and 21 receptions. Anthony led the Detroit Public School League in both touchdowns and kick off returns.
Always a leader, Anthony was a member of the track and field team where he was a sprinter. “I can’t take credit for my skills; I give all the glory to God.”
Anthony thanked his mother, Robin Wilson, and Deacon Benson for, “really being there for me.” He also thanked everyone, “who was on my side, especially my church family. Thank you and God bless you: Wilson family, Pastor and Mrs. Owens, the Frederick Douglass staff. Thank you to everyone who has given me encouragement.”
