Andrew is a three year varsity football player for the Bears. His senior year, he served as captain of his team and played both sides of the ball, middle linebacker on defense and fullback on offense. He was awarded Mega Red All Conference Honorable Mention and Coaches Award. His junior year he played middle linebacker and offensive tackle. He was chosen the Mega Red All Conference recipient and led the team in tackles his senior and junior year. In September 2005, Andrew was named McDonald’s and Channel 7 Outstanding Student Scholar Athlete of the Week and a $250.00 donation was awarded to the Bears’ Athletic Department.

Andrew was also a two year varsity basketball player, where his team won the District Championship in 2005 and Mega White League Championship in 2006.

Andrew was a member of the National Honor Society, Perfect Citizenship, Perfect Attendance, and maintained a 3.6 GPA.

Andrew thanked his parents, family and friends, “for their continued love and encouragement.” A “special thanks” was given to all of his Coaches, especially Coach Baker and Coach Filipiak, “for their support and guidance on and off the field.” He gave, “a huge thank you to all of his teammates for such a memorable experience!”
