Alberto’s parents are Alberto and Claudia Sandoval. He has three younger sisters, twins Claudia and Andrea (15), and Cristina (3) and a younger brother Jorge (4).

Alberto started playing football in the third grade. He has played many positions on both sides of the ball during his career including linebacker, defensive end and tackle, center and fullback. At Brother Rice he was an offensive guard and defensive lineman as a freshman and played defensive end and tackle in his varsity seasons. From his positions on the defensive line, Alberto led the Warriors in tackles (76) in his senior year and also recorded six sacks, and five “hurries”. He was named Scholar Athlete of the Year in Football at Brother Rice. Alberto was a significant part of the team’s three State Championships during his varsity career.

Sandoval also threw shot and discus for the Warrior’s track team.

Alberto thanked his father and mother, Alberto and Claudia, and his Warrior coaches, especially Defensive Coordinator Adam Korzeniewski and Head Coach Al Fracassa.
