DeShon started on JV in ninth grade as a running back and as a linebacker for Flint Central and Flint Northern. His JV year went so well that the coaches moved him up. In his senior year he had 100 tackles, 736 receiving yards and 4 TD’s. He also made First Team All Valley defense and Second team All Valley. DeShon was named MVP two years in a row. He was also MVP of the Michigan Camp for running backs.
As a sophomore and as a junior DeShon wrestled for Flint Central and Flint Northern. As a freshman he was a regional qualifier. As a sophomore he was a state qualifier and as a junior he made All State taking eigth in the state meet. He also won Genesee County at 160 pounds.
DeShon said, “I want to give thanks to God for blessing me with the talent that he gave me and I want to thank my family, friends and teammates and coaches for everything that they have done for me and the whole Flint Community.”
