From the AFCA:
In an effort to share our vast educational resources with coaches all over the United States, the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and American Football Coaches Foundation (AFCF) would like to partner with the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association.
The AFCF is sponsoring a scholarship program to award a limited number of AFCA memberships in Michigan. This includes the convention fee for the 2014 AFCA Convention, which will take place in Indianapolis on January 12-15, 2014. Scholarship recipients will be selected by the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association.
The scholarships will be based on the following criteria:
The applicant must be a current member of the MHSFCA
The applicant has never been a member of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA will verify when you send final applications)
The applicant must pay a $10 processing fee; payable to the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA)
The applicant must coach at the high school level
The applicant must plan to attend the 2014 AFCA Convention
Scholarship applications must be postmarked by 15 September 2013.
Send to MHSFCA Executive Director:
39 Judd Rd.
Milan, MI 48160
Coaches receiving the scholarship will be enrolled as AFCA members no later than 30 September and will immediately be enrolled as new members and sent an AFCA membership card along with information about the 2014 Convention. Upon receipt of the membership card, these new members will have immediate access to the educational resources at www.afca.com.
Again, our intent is to provide an added benefit to members of Michigan High School Football Coaches Association and also enhance our effort to educate football coaches around the country. This is only a one-year scholarship and we are only covering membership and the convention fee. All other expenses including food, lodging, transportation, etc. is the scholarship recipient’s responsibility.
