"It is with great honor and gratitude that I accept the MHSFCA 2014 Educational Scholarship.  I realize just how many phenomenal athletes, excellent students, and inspiring leaders are part of our graduation class, and it means so much that out of all these candidates, I would be selected to represent the MHSFCA and the quality young men that it helps to produce.
My high school football experience has been more rewarding than I could ever have imagined, and this award puts the final mark in this chapter of my life that I will never forget.
Thank you so very much for this scholarship, it is extremely generous and it will help me make the most of the wonderful opportunities ahead of me.  Thank you again."

Seth Malcolm - Standish-Sterling Central High School

"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the MHSFCA for granting me this scholarship.  I feel truly honored to be the recipient of such a prestigious award. Please know that this money will serve as a substantial contribution to my first year of study at Michigan Technological University.  Again, on behalf of my family, and myself, I offer my heartfelt thanks for your generosity."

Jarrett Reichel - Onsted High School

Image79-2Jarrett will be attending the University of Michigan to pursue a degree in biology.

"I would like to thank you for honoring me with this scholarship. I have loved playing football throughout my time in high school, through all of the highs and the lows. I always believed that playing the sport I loved would not help me in my educational pursuits in college. It seemed that football and academics never really went together. However, the MHSFCA made me think differently; football and education could be complimentary to each other. Both my selection as Academic All-State and for this scholarship have helped me see differently. My football pursuits could substantially aid me in my quest for higher education. So again, I’d like to thank the MHSFCA for showing how my work in school and on the football field could contribute so much to my future endeavors."
