All Star game tickets are $5 pre-sale, per ticket, and $10 per ticket at the gate on game day. Make checks payable to MHSFCA. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: All-Star Tickets, P.O. Box 98, Taylor, MI 48180, with all ticket orders. Mail orders must be received by June 19. For Will Call tickets, phone calls will be accepted until noon, June 19 at (313) 570-8091.

MICHIGAN HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL COACHES 2011 EAST-WEST ALL STAR GAME/

31ST ANNUAL GAME TO BE PLAYED SATURDAY, JUNE 25 AT CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY

Mount Pleasant, Mich. (Jan. 9, 2011) – The Michigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA) today announced the  88 high school players – selected by a state-wide group of MHSFCA member coaches – who will participate in the 31st East-West All Star Game.  The announcements were made in a special, first-time on-line Selection Show event today  from Central Michigan University.  The 2011 MHSFCA All Star Game will be played Saturday, June 25 at Kelly/Shorts Stadium on the CMU campus.   Game time will be announced at a later date by MHSFCA.

MICHIGAN HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL COACHES 2011 EAST-WEST ALL STAR GAME

31ST ANNUAL GAME TO BE PLAYED SATURDAY, JUNE 25 AT CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY

Mount Pleasant, Mich. (Jan. 5, 2011) – The 88 high school players to be selected to participate in the 31stMichigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA) East-West All Star Game will be announced in a special on-line Selection Show event Sunday, Jan. 9 from Central Michigan University.  The 2011 MHSFCA All Star Game will be played  Saturday, June 25 at Kelly/Shorts Stadium on the CMU campus.  Game time will be announced by MHSFCA at a later date.

“We are extremely pleased to play the 2011 MHSFCA East-West All Star Game at CMU on June 25,” said Gus Kapolka, MHSFCA All-Star Game director.  “The location at Kelly/Shorts Stadium in Mount Pleasant will be excellent for fans of high school football in Michigan and the families and friendsof the players and coaches.  As a part of our continued efforts to make the event a tremendous experience for the participating players and their fans and supporters, we have also partnered with CMU to host for the first time, the MHSFCA All Star Game Selection Show to announce the 44 East team and 44 Westteam players live on-line via streaming video.”

The MHSFCA All Star Game player Selection Show can be viewed live beginning at 2 p.m.  Sunday, Jan. 9 athttp://www.cmich.edu/media/mhsaa/selection_show.mov from CMU.

“Our entire campus community is very excited to partner with the MHSFCA on this event, and we look forward to providing an outstanding experience for the players, coaches and fans who will be visiting our campus this summer,” said CMU Director of Athletics Dave Heeke.  “The All Star Game is a unique opportunity in the lives of these athletes, and we take great pride in having the opportunity to host the game, and the events surrounding it, in Mount Pleasant.”

MHSFCA worked closely with both CMU and the Mount Pleasant Sports & Entertainment Commission to select the Mid-Michigan location for the 2011 All Star Game.

“The Mount Pleasant Sports & Entertainment Commission is extremely excited to have an event of this caliber in Mount Pleasant,” said Mitch Carb, marketing coordinator, Mount Pleasant Sports and Entertainment Commission.“The All-Star Game will not only allow players, parents and fans alike the opportunity to experience CMU, but the entire Mount Pleasant area as well.  It will truly be a community-wide event.”
