August 3, 2014 03:41 PM

After extensive research comparing benefits of holding the 2015 Border Classic Game at either SVSU or Wayne State, the decision's been made. Please pass the message below to anyone and everyone - Coaches in your region and your media contacts (I've done a message to media, but a lot of my contacts are out of date and I'm sure the list wasn't complete in the first place.)

The Michigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA) is pleased to announce that the 2015 Michigan v Ohio Border Classic All Star Football Game will be played 13 June 2015 at Wayne State University’s Tom Adams Field. The Border Classic Game will pit the top 40, high school graduates from Michigan schools against the top 40 from Ohio schools (nearly all of whom will continue their football careers at a Division 1 or Division 2 college or university). *The first Border Classic Game was held at the University of Findlay in June of 2014. Team Michigan won that contest 27-14.

A cooperative event between the MHSFCA and the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association (OHSFCA), the game will bring six of Michigan’s and six of Ohio’s top coaches along with the forty players from each state, to the Wayne State Campus for a three day camp (Wed- Fri). An awards banquet will complete the camp on Friday night and the game will be played on Saturday, 13 June 2014, time TBD.

Team Michigan coaches will be named later this summer. Team Michigan players will be recruited after the 2014 season and named shortly after the February 2015 NCAA signing date.
