Inaugural Border Classic Football Game

June 14, 2014
Donnell Stadium • The University of Findlay

High school senior football players, 2014 graduates, from Ohio and Michigan will play in the inaugural Ohio - Michigan Border Classic next summer, Saturday, June 14, at Donnell Stadium in Findlay, Ohio. Players and coaches will be recognized at an awards banquet Friday night, June 13, at a Findlay location yet to be determined.

The Ohio High School Football Coaches Association (OHSFCA) and the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA) will each select forty players and six coaches to compete in the game. Selections will be announced in February 2014 at a press conference in Findlay.

Mike Mauk (Treasurer, OHSFCA) and Larry Merx (Executive Director, MHSFCA) have announced that all profits from this game will be dedicated to the scholarship funds already established by their respective coaching associations.

While everyone recognizes the tremendous natural rivalry involved in an Ohio verses Michigan football game, the main goals of the game are to promote high school football and to build a strong positive relationship between Ohio and Michigan high school football players and coaches.
